Two Door Cinema Club
Two Door Cinema Club are an alternative electropop band from Bangor and Donaghadee, Co. Down, Northern Ireland formed in 2007. They are signed to French record label Kitsuné Music, through which they released their debut album, Tourist History on 1 March 2010. The guys stopped by and recorded a couple of track with producer Jim Anderson.

Cold Specks
Are a band fronted by Al Spx, a 23-year-old from etobicoke in canada and now lives in london. They have been in Sub Bubble over the past year working on their debut album with producer Jim Anderson with involvement from Rob Ellis (PJ Harvey, Anna Calvi).
‘Holland’ is their first single released on paradYse Records, the new Transgressive imprint.
It has been a pleasure to work with Cold Specks over the past year.

Bo Ningen
Bo Ningen are a Japanese 4 four piece who formed in London their music is hard to define but Psychedelic Noise Rock might get close. These guys are truly undefinable! What one can say is that their music is raw, honest, inventive and challenging.
The band came into Sub Bubble Studios to record tracks for their double A-side single featuring the tracks HENKAN and JINSEI ICHIDOKIRI, Engineered by our own in house engineer Tobin Jones and mixed by Taigen Kawabe. With Bo Ningen’s trademark experimental edge and oozing with energy the tracks will take you on a trip you won’t forget! 2:54 are made up of sisters Colette and Hannah Thurlow, joined by Joel Porter on bass and Alex Robins on drums. Playing their first live show in 2010, they have toured with Blood Red Shoes, Yuck,Warpaint and Melissa Auf Der Maur, going on to play their first UK headline tour in April 2011. Their debut 7” ‘On A Wire’//’Cold Front’ was released in March 2011.
The Girls came in to Sub Bubble with Jim Anderson to mix tracks for there forth coming E.P. Scarlet. The E.P. was produced by Rob Ellis (PJ Harvey, Anna Calvi) and is due for release on Fiction Records on the 14th of November.

Gaggle
Gaggle are a 22 piece alternative female choir/band. Led by the classically trained Deborah Coughlin. They began recording their debut album at Sub Bubble Studios with producer Jim Anderson in May 2011 and have made full use of the studio, recording in pretty much every room in the building, including the Skate Park!
Their first single ‘I Hear Flies’ gained rave reviews from NME, The Guardian and The Times. With their unique sound, imaginative lyrics and stunning live show’s Gaggle are definitely what the current music scene has been crying out for. Their up and coming album promises to be a real hit! David’s Lyre
London(born) David’s Lyre is the pen name adopted by singer-songwriter & multi instrumentalist Paul Dixon. His unique voice accompanies beautifully crafted arrangements in which the best elements of instant-appeal pop music and experimental music are fused. Paul came into Sub Bubble Studios to record for his forthcoming album with producer Tom Fuller. Both Dixon and Fuller have a great working chemistry and thrive on the experimentation of sonic textures using an array of vintage and modern equipment to sculpt there sound including Sub Bubbles own Analogue System RS8500 Modular Synthesiser. Clout!
Clout! are a band who champion and encourage musical exploration drawing from a diverse array of influences from experimental electronic music from the past to Dub, Jazz & 2-step to name but a few. They manage to bring such diverse styles together, fusing them to create something totally new but some how reassuringly familiar. Their successful debut EP included the single ‘Maxwell’s O’ released on Dirty Bingo Records early 2011. Since then the band have recorded their 2nd EP in Sub Bubble with in house engineer, Tobin Jones. They have certainly lived up to their experimental style, having made full use of our custom Analogue Systems RS8500 Modular synth. The new EP is due for release very soon, so if your open to new forms of contemporary music it’s a must have!

James Rutledge and Sylver Tongue
James Rutledge is a London based musician, producer and remixer who has been awarded Remixer Of The Year at the 2011 Music Producers Guild Awards. He has who has worked with a diverse range of artists, filmmakers, musicians, producers and remixers including: Bloc Party, Bombay Bicycle Club, Danger Mouse, Everything Everything, Fever Ray, Ellie Goudling, Four Tet, Grizzly Bear, Harrys Gym, The Kills, MGMT, Munch Munch, O Children, The Pastels, Prefuse 73, Radiohead and Telepathe.
He came into Sub Bubble to record with Jim Anderson for an exciting new project called Sylver Tongue. For more detail about James and his productions click here
Young Legionaire
Young Legionnaire was started by Gordon Moakes (Bloc Party) and Paul Mullen (The Automatic/Yourcodenameis:milo) after meeting when YCNI:Milo were sourcing bands for their ‘Print Is Dead’ collaborations project. Young Legionaire came in to Sub Bubble in early november to finish recording their forthcoming coming album with producer Richard Jackson, All Guitar and Vocals were recording in Sub Bubble before the band went on tour with pulled apart by horses. The album was then fully mixed at sub bubble before christmas ready for release this year on Wichita.

The Twilight Sad
The Twilight Sad comprises James Graham (vocals), Andy MacFarlane, (guitar/accordion/noise), Craig Orzel (bass), and Mark Devine (drums). Forming in late 2003, the band played a couple of early shows at Glasgow’s 13th Note, creating half hour pieces of music utilising guitars, bass, drums, theremin, tape loops from films and old folk and country songs, effects pedals, toy keyboards, thumb pianos, computer games and various other ephemera.The boys spent two weeks in Sub Bubble recording and mixing with Andrew Weatherall and Jim Anderson.

Innercity Pirates
A few years ago Russell Toomey wrote 13 love songs which he spat out in a visceral punk snarl. This album was called “13 in my 31” and was released under the guise My Red Cell, through the now defunct V2. Fast-forward to 2010 and what you have here in your hand are 10 of the finest crafted guitar gems of the decade. “Cutting Noses, Chasing Tales” is a literal roller-coaster ride of love, hate, party, dance, fuck-you anthems for the ADHD kids of today. The band see their debut release on our own Superdark imprint. The multinational band recently recorded an acoustic album at Sub Bubble Studio 1.

Hook And The Twin
UK-based Hook and The Twin has rocketed into the music scene hot and sizzling. The sizzling electroclash/indie duo consists of Tom Havelock and Marcus Efstratiou.UK-based Hook and The Twin has sky rocketed into the UK indie music scene and have had the cool kids raving. The sizzling electroclash/indie duo consists of Tom Havelock and Marcus Efstratiou.Hook And The Twin came in to Sub Bubble to mix their debut album with Producer Jim Anderson. Some of the the albums electo sounds were processed using sub bubbles own analogue system 8500 modular synth adding to the albums already unique sound.

Laurel Collective
The Laurels are a genre trashing six piece led by the twin attack and contrasting vocals of front men Martin Sakutu and Bob Tollast. Imagine the motley crew spirit of such misfit gangs as The Specials and Dexys mixed with the rhythmical assault and groove of Sly Family Stone, and blended with the psychedelic pop sensibilities of Super Furry Animals and you’d be half way there. Jim Anderson recently mixed the bands forcoming single “Jelly Bird” processing drums and vocals through the Sub Bubble Analogue Systems RS8500 modular synthesiser.
