Studio 1 is Sub Bubble’s premier recording studio and control/mixing room, centred around the amazing SSL AWS 900+ SE console locked to a fully expanded Pro Tools HD5 rig.

This revolutionary new recording and mixing system combines the dual benefits of SuperAnalogue processing and sophisticated DAW control to provide a complete recording and mixing solution for Studio 1. The room’s monitoring comprises Dynaudio M3Ps, KRK Rocket 8s and Yamaha NS10M Studios which are accompanied by Chord and Bryston amplifiers. In addition the room has a Hearback system consisting of a hub and five satellite mixers. Recording hardware provides 32 ins & 40 outs via 3 x Digidesign 192 IO interfaces powered by a 2.8GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon Mac Pro.

The studio’s outboard selection includes Neve 1073 DPA, API 500 Rack with 4x Neve 1073LB Pre’s, UA 1176LN, Teltronix LA-2A, API 3124+, Bricasti M7, DBX 902 / 903 / 905 pairs, Roland and Yamaha FX and an Avalon U5 Class A Ultra 5 Direct. Microphones include Neumann U87 P48 vintage, Royer R121 x 2, Telefunken D19c vintage, AKG C414B XLS x 2, Shure SM7b, Beyerdynamic M201 x 2, ElectroVoice RE20. Three Vintage tape echo’s a WEM Copicat Super IC, Roland RE-501 Space Echo and Melos Echo Chamber. Synthesisers and sound modules are available to both studios and include WEM AudioMaster Powermixer,  Nord Rack 2X, Korg Radius R, Novation Supernova II and Roland V Drums + TD3 Sound Module.

Studio 1 software and plug-ins include Pro Tools HD 9 software,  full HD5 Plug-in bundles, Waves Platinum, Waves API, Waves L3 Multi Maximizer, Soundtoys, Line 6 Echo Farm, TL Space, Crane Song Phoenix, EMI 12413 Abbey Road, Massey L2007 and Digidesign Smack. An impressive backline selection at Sub Bubble Studios includes a beautiful Yamaha C3 Grand Piano, Fender Hotrod Deluxe, Fender Deville Tweed, Marshall JMP Master Model 50W MkII Lead, Yamaha Studio Custom 9000 Drum Kit with Sabian AAX Cymbals and Mapex Black Panther Snare. The studio has numerous guitar pedals and instruments available for use.
